Option 1 Yes You ve to union your sources before that you need to consolidate all your excel files in a single workbook Once done then connect the consolidated file and drag all other sheets on top of first sheet to union If you don t want to consolidate then follow the other approach Option 2

The 2 new Sep files and the Oct csv file all contain the data with the same header So I included all the 3 files in one XL file named JobPerformanceData as multiple sheets and saved as an excel workbook In Tableau I connected to this excel file with 3 work sheets and I see the same 3 sheets in Tableau too
